New to Sewing? Start Here.

I have never sewn before. Can I really take a class here?

Yes. Most of our students walk in as complete beginners. Our beginner classes are built for people starting from zero, so you will not be behind or lost. We walk you through everything step by step.

Do I need my own sewing machine? No, everything is provided. Just show up and sew.

What should I bring to my first class? Just yourself. Everything you need for beginner classes is already in the studio, and we will tell you ahead of time if a class calls for anything extra.

What is the minimum age? Students must be 9 or older, and anyone under 13 needs an adult with them in the studio.

Can adults and kids take a class together? Yes, that is a popular option, especially for parents and kids working side by side.

How do I sign up? Book directly through our website, where class listings and openings are posted.

Do you offer private lessons? Yes, both group classes and one-on-one lessons if you would rather learn at your own pace.

What if I want more than a one-time class? We have a Sewing Club, a monthly studio membership, and a monthly Sip and Sew for a more social session.

Is the studio wheelchair accessible? Yes, and free parking is available.

What will I learn to make? Beginner classes cover the fundamentals, working up toward pattern making, draping, embroidery, upcycling, and using a Cricut.
